Negotiating Executive Employment Agreements
Professional Background and Accolades
We specialize in representing employees in lawsuits against their employers and advising executives on their employment and separation agreements. Some of our accolades include being named to the Northern California Rising Stars List by Super Lawyers Magazine from 2015-2017 and a 10/10 Avvo Rating.
Our litigation practice is almost exclusively contingency-fee based, meaning there is no fee without a recovery. We represent employees in both class actions and single-plaintiff claims. Most of our cases fit into one of the following areas: wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, whistleblower retaliation, disputes over equity compensation (including stock options and restricted stock units), unpaid wages or other violations of the California Labor Code. Since 2015, we have recovered over $7,000,000 for clients. Our case results include three awards from arbitrators, four awards from administrative agencies, and more than twenty different settlements of $100,000 or more.
Our counseling practice involves negotiating employment agreements and separation agreements as well as related equity compensation contracts. We have represented over one hundred executives at different kinds of companies, including public companies, late stage private companies, early stage startups, professional services firms, as well as venture capital funds, private equity funds, and other asset management companies.
